Lev Chadash is the first established and the biggest progressive synagogue in Italy. It belongs to the European Region of the World Union of Progressive Judaism.
Services are held every Shabbat (Friday night, Arvit: 7.15 pm, Saturday morning Shachrit: 10.00) Festivals are celebrated as well. Services are conducted mainly in Hebrew, with some prayers in Italian. Sermons and derashot are in Italian. We have also classes for kids, bar/bat mitzvà lessons, studies for adults, Hebrew lessons, cultural activities. In september we will celebrate the High Holydays: Rosh Hashanah (september 9 and 10) and Iom Kippur (september 19) We warmly welcome visitors from abroad who would like to visit and pray with us.

Where we are
Our synagogue address is Piazza Napoli 35 - MILAN, near the beginnining of Via Giambellino - some 20 min by taxi from the very center of Milano. If you prefer use public transportation, here you will find their site, with a map and an automatic system for choosing the right lines (just click on calcola percorso)
Entrance is independent, the big car door on the left side of the building main entrance.
Please ring for “AEP”. After the door, go straghit some 50 meters and then down the little stairs on the right.

Un rabbino ultraortodosso di nome Bekhor ha diffuso nella sua newsletter una grave diffamazione copntro la nostra sinagoga, insinuando che nel menù del nostro seder di pessach fosse compresa dell'aragosta (che com'è noto non è un alimento kasher). Le centoventi persone che hanno partecipato al seder e tutti quelli che frequantano Lev Chadash sanno che noi non abbiamo mai fatta mangiare aragosta, né a Pessach né in altre occasioni. Povero movimento Chabad, che una volta era un centro di cultura ebraica, se è andato in mano a rabbini che scrivono cose del genere !
